To celebrate World Oceans Day, the Aquarium-Museum team has put together a program packed with activities, immersive experiences, and fun events, spread throughout the Aquarium.
Throughout the day, visitors are invited to explore issues related to marine biodiversity, gain a better understanding of the threats facing the oceans, and take a behind-the-scenes look at the aquatic world.
Whose jawbone is this? And what does it reveal about its way of life?
In this observation workshop, examine real jaws from aquatic species and set out to uncover their secrets. Tooth morphology, general structure, jaw shape… every clue brings you closer to the answer: which species does it belong to? What does it eat? A fearsome predator, a discreet filter-feeder, or a specialist in a very specific type of prey?
The activity is designed to be enjoyed with family or friends, featuring 3 difficulty levels suitable for all ages—younger children (ages 6 and up) can tackle the easy level on their own, while more experienced participants can delve deeper into the investigation.

Naïa, daughter of Poseidon and guardian of the corals, has mysteriously disappeared. Did she run away… or was she kidnapped? Without her, the balance of an entire marine ecosystem is threatened. There’s not a minute to lose!
Grab your smartphones and embark with your family on a life-size investigation in the heart of the Aquarium-Museum. Follow the clues hidden via QR codes, observe the aquatic animals in a new light, and solve the puzzles to unravel the mystery: who is responsible? Where is Naïa hiding? How can we find her?

A face-painting workshop to transform yourself into a sea creature for the duration of your visit
Transform yourself into a creature of the deep! A professional face painter will paint children’s faces in the colors of aquatic animals: tropical fish, sharks, octopuses, and many other ocean dwellers are just waiting to come to life on their faces.

The closing event of Ocean Month offers an immersive journey into the heart of the marine world, blending science and discovery, featuring a lecture by Prof. Thierry Jauniaux followed by a screening of the documentary *Ocean with David Attenborough*.
