Freshwater month
A month of activities to explore the richness and fragility of freshwater, from our rivers to the tropics, through activities, tours, and scientific encounters.
Rivers, lakes, and tropical wetlands are home to an astonishing biodiversity that is often overlooked... yet essential.
Rivers, lakes, and tropical wetlands are home to an astonishing biodiversity that is often overlooked... yet essential.
What species live in tropical freshwater? How do they adapt to their environment? Why are these ecosystems so precious... and so fragile?
Whether you are curious, a nature lover, or an aquarium enthusiast, this activity is for you. Nicolas, our specialist, equipped with his mobile observation table, will guide you in discovering different species: from the most well-known—which some of you may already have at home—to others that are rarer and sometimes more discreet.
He will also take the time to answer all your questions.
Accessible to all audiences, young and old, this activity can be enjoyed with family, friends, or on your own. It's a great opportunity to learn more about tropical freshwater while having a fun and enriching time.
This event is organized as part of our "Freshwater Month" event: Along freshwater rivers, from our rivers to the tropics | From February 14 to March 15, 2026.
