To celebrate the "Nuit Ardente des Musées," the Aquarium-Muséum team invites you to a day and evening dedicated to exploring the aquatic world.
Starting at 1 p.m., our science educators will welcome you around a mobile observation table to explore up close an amazing collection of marine specimens. Shark teeth, fish, scales, and other curiosities: all clues to better understanding the diversity and surprising strategies of the species that inhabit the oceans. Curious? Take advantage of this special opportunity to ask questions, chat with our experts, and gain a fresh perspective on life underwater.
Meanwhile, Zazie will be waiting for you at 2 p.m. in front of the wobbegong tank to take you on an aquatic adventure through various tales. Mysterious stories, amazing creatures, and imaginary oceans come together to transport young and old alike to the heart of a world filled with wonders. A poetic interlude amidst the aquariums, where you listen, imagine… and let yourself be carried away by the stories.
Need a breather between activities or museum visits? Starting at 4 p.m., join us at the Shark Bar! This pop-up lounge welcomes you for a well-deserved break, featuring refreshing soft drinks and carefully selected local beers. It’s the perfect way to extend your experience at the Aquarium-Museum and the Nuit Ardente… over a drink.
Starting at 6 p.m., in a nighttime atmosphere, let us guide you through the Aquarium.
As night falls, the tanks reveal a unique atmosphere. Accompanied by our science guides, meet the species and discover fascinating facts, surprising behaviors, and behind-the-scenes insights into the aquatic world. An original way to explore the Aquarium… as night begins to fall over the tanks.
At 7 p.m., extend the experience with a screening of an exceptional documentary: "700 Sharks in the Night." Darkness is not a limitation, but an invitation to travel. Head to the Fakarava Atoll in French Polynesia, where world-renowned diver and underwater photographer Laurent Ballesta captured one of the most fascinating natural spectacles ever filmed: a collective nighttime hunt involving more than 700 gray reef sharks, in a striking ballet of light and shadow.
The documentary will be introduced by Michael Scholl, director of the Aquarium-Museum and a biologist specializing in shark research, who will also be on hand to answer your questions following the screening.

- “Mobile Observation Table”activity: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. No reservation required.
- Storytelling: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (several stories lasting 15 to 30 minutes). Ages 3 and up. No reservation required.
- Shark Bar: 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Central Hall of the Institute of Zoology).
- Guided tour: departures from the reception desk on the hour: 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM. Duration: 30 minutes (reservations required at the reception desk on the day of the tour).
- Screening of the documentary "700 Sharks in the Night": at 7:00 PM ( the theater opens at 6:30 PM). No reservation required .
- Guided tour: departures from the reception desk on the hour: 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM. Duration: 30 minutes (reservations required).
